You will start from Space Center Executive, Florida, Runway 27. The examiner will give you instruction, including designated altitude. "You've got the air plane. Begin when you are ready." Push the throttle to full power. Let's begin! Outside is totally black. Horizontal visibility is one (1) mile. You will see nothing from taking off through final approach. Remark: Auto pilot is desabled. Remark: Heading must be within ±10 degrees from the designated one. Altitude must be ±100ft from the designated one. You may not care about the speed unless you crash. |

Go straight ahead of the runway until you reach 1000ft. Then, turn left to heading 120 to 130 degrees. Level off at 3000ft. Intercept Melbourne VOR Radial 345 degrees. Crouse at heading 165 degrees. Remark: You must complete alignment before DME 20 miles to Melbourne VOR. Tips: It is a good idea to complete level off before intercepting Melbourne VOR Radial 345. |

The attitude indicator, heading indicator, and ADF will be stopped at DME 15 miles to Melbourne VOR. Go straight. Remark: You may find that the VOR needle is slightly diviated in the photo right side. The examiner passed me despite of this diviation. |

The examiner will set NAV 1 to ILS of Space Center Executive, Florida, Runway 36 at DME 10 miles to Melbourne VOR. Descend to 2100ft. Turn right to heading 330 degrees. The attitude indicator, heading indicator, and ADF will be restored along with the turn. The approaching course of Runway 36 is 01 degrees. After you establish ILS, reduce the speed at 90 knots, and flap down to 10 degrees. Tips: I strongly believe that speed and flap have nothing to do with the success of the test. |

Do not forget gear down. You may find that PAPI is white, white , white and red in the next photo. This is OK. Do not see the runway and watch the glide path until the final moment of the touch down. Brake and stop. |
